HOLE is a live game that operates through elements of performing arts: the interaction of light, sound and objects.
The HOLE escape room activates its players with non-verbal cues, tasks and atmospheres. As the game unfolds, the roles of player and spectator become intertwined. HOLE emphasizes the players’ personal experience and sensory experience. Instead of having a backstory or verbally oriented gameplay, characteristic to escape room games, HOLE operates without spoken or written language in its own timeless world.
The aim of the HOLE project is linguistic, geographical and social accessibility. In terms of game technology, HOLE is a room within a room, portable by van. The game can be implemented in almost any indoor space of about 35m2 with electricity.
